FAQs
What does Instruction Works provide?
Instruction Works helps startups and SMEs understand and use AI more effectively through two services.
AI Advisory and Practical Training provides focused, practical help during online working sessions. Bespoke AI Services are available for suitable requirements that need something to be structured, configured, tested or created.
Who are your services for?
The services are designed for startups and SMEs that want practical, business-focused help with AI.
You may already use ChatGPT for questions, research or first drafts but feel you are not getting enough from it. You may also have a particular task, process or idea that you would like to explore.
You do not need to arrive with a complete AI strategy. A clear business need or area you want to improve is a good place to start.
Is your support limited to ChatGPT?
No. ChatGPT is a common starting point and a primary area of support, but Instruction Works is not limited to one platform.
Where appropriate, I can help you understand other AI tools and capabilities. Whether I can support a particular platform or feature will depend on its suitability, availability and your account permissions.
Do I need a ChatGPT account?
Not necessarily. You can book an advisory session to understand AI or discuss a business use case without already having a ChatGPT account.
If your session involves using, configuring or demonstrating ChatGPT, you will need an appropriate account. Certain features may also require a particular subscription, workspace or permission level.
Any relevant account requirements will be discussed before the session or project is confirmed.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. The service is designed for business owners, managers and teams rather than AI specialists.
I explain unfamiliar features in plain English and relate them to practical business tasks. Screen sharing and live demonstrations can be used where they would make something easier to understand.
What can we cover during a practical AI session?
The session is shaped around your current knowledge, business and priorities.
We could work on improving the responses you receive from ChatGPT, writing clearer instructions, organising work through Projects, using files more effectively, understanding Skills or exploring practical applications across marketing, research, sales, administration and communication.
We can also examine a particular business task and consider whether AI could support it, what the limitations are and where human review should remain in place.
Is Instruction Works affiliated with OpenAI?
No. Instruction Works Ltd is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of OpenAI or any other AI platform provider.
Third-party platforms control their own features, subscriptions, permissions, availability and terms, which may change over time.
Can I receive further support later?
Yes. You can book another advisory and training session or request a quotation for additional bespoke work.
Ongoing maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting and updates are not included.
Will you need access to my account?
You remain in control of your own accounts, subscriptions, settings and permissions.
Where account access is needed, I will normally guide you through the relevant steps using screen sharing or an appropriate platform access method. I will not ask you to disclose your account passwords.
Your business remains responsible for deciding who has access, which information is uploaded and how the resulting work is used.
What are Bespoke AI Services?
Bespoke AI Services provide carefully scoped support for a defined business requirement.
Depending on the use case and its suitability, this could include creating structured instructions and guardrails, organising source information, designing an AI-supported workflow, setting up Skills or helping configure an assistant, agent, Project, Site or other supported AI capability.
These are examples rather than fixed deliverables. The exact work will always be set out in an individual written quotation.
